Hello,
I pray that you all are doing well. I finished week 2 of T-25. I feel good about that!! I am going on a no sugar challenge starting in September. It is supposed to last 21 days. I know that it is going to be so challenging, but I am looking forward to good results. I read a post today is that I can eat a cookie and be healthy at the same time. I loved that, but I am willing to go on this challenge coming up. I am still desperate for change. Even with seeing some results, I know where I want to be is far more than where I have gotten. I did try the Popeye's Chicken sandwich, I would encourage people to get the spicy one. Then, I had Chick-fil-a because they are still the best! Then, one night I had pizza, so three meals this week were not the best. I have to get back to better eating for the best results!! I have to be honest!! TTYL XOXOXOXOXO Chavon Thomas

Hello,
I hope that you all are having a great day today!!! I wanted to come and give another update. Today's word is Consistency!!! Consistency is the hardest part of the weight-loss journey. There are days where I don't want to workout or make wise decisions in my eating habits. I have been doing my T-25. I am going to get it done today! I plan to write a bog here and in on my other website (www.newbeginningswithme.com), and I will workout after that. I am not sure who else is on this journey with me or just watching me. For those who are making stride to make changes for the better and go against generational issues with health problems, I commend you. Then, for those who are watching and encouraging me on this journey, thank you!! Yesterday, I hung out with one of my friends. She is also on this journey to a better lifestyle. We have a goal to lose a certain amount of weight before the new year!!! We are determined!! What looks impossible is not!! Something to think about in this journey: "The primary reward is not the goal but what you become as a result of doing all that was necessary to reach the goal." —David McNalley XOXOXOX Chavon Thomas Hello,
I hope your day has been well. I know it is Monday, but I am thankful to still be alive. I wanted to give you all an update on the weight-loss journey. Today, I did not do my T-25 because I did 3 laps around Mt. Trashmore. I had my 10,000 steps before noon today! It was awesome!! Gym- I canceled my Planet Fitness Membership because I am going to focus on either walking outside or working out in my house. I heard someone say that you can start at home, so I am going to do that. If I can build a discipline, then I will add a gym membership again later. The key is there is no point of me continuing to pay for a gym membership, but I am not going consistently. Eating- I am starting an eating challenge with some friends in September. It is a no sugar challenge. I think it going to be tough, but it is doable. I ate a desert today, and it was good. As long as I don't make it a bad habit, it is fine. I am still desperate for change. I still weigh myself every morning to keep myself focused on what I am supposed to be doing and to watch the changes in my body. Thank you for reading the blog today!!! We can do this!! XOXOXOXOXO Chavon Thomas Hello,
It's Sunday!!! I had a beautiful Sunday worship service at my church! I hope that your Sunday is going well. I finished T-25 this past week. On Friday, I was supposed to do two DVDs, but I only did one because my husband and I went walking at Mt. Trashmore Park on Saturday, which was supposed to be my rest day. The distance around the entire perimeter is 3 miles, and we went around twice. Once we went around doing the HIT program (running for a certain distance and then walking). Then the second time, we just walked. Today, is a stretch DVD. I will do that before I go to bed tonight. We are hitting the road tomorrow morning to visit Rhode Island. We are going to see my husband's family. Pray for me that I do the right thing. In reality, I actually feel the difference in my body when I go beyond what i need in my food category types. I fill so heavy and unproductive. Therefore, if I can remember that before I act, I should be just fine. My noom app, I use now just for weigh-ins and food checks. There has been so much that I have learned from that app!! One thing is that I try my best to stop classifying food as good or bad, but rather, I am trying to focus on what type of food I am eating to see if I have room for it in my caloric density count. It is tough changing my lifestyle, but I really want to live a fit and healthy life. I am looking forward to my flat stomach and a few packs lol. It does not have to be a 6 pack. Thank you for reading today!! XOXOXO Chavon Thomas Hello,
I have not posted in a while. However, I have been doing much better since I have been back in VA!! I have lost all the weight that I gained the week I was out of town!!! I plan to get back to my consistent posting today!!! I started the Shaun-T Program T-25 this Sunday!!! I had the DVDs since last year, but I did not consistently use them. My plan is to change that this time!! The program has Monday- Friday workouts, and Saturday is rest day!! Then, Sunday is stretch day!! I have lost more weight this week. I will keep you updated!! Friends!! My sis, Ty, and I are keeping one another accountable!! Out goal is to lose a significant amount of weight before the new year!! We want to go into the new year a healthier and fitter version of ourselves!! Our New Year's resolution will be to continue what we started in 2019!! That's different right?!! The noom app, I still use it!! I still weigh myself everyday. It can be hard when I dont see the number go down more, but it has been cool to see the inches drop! I was able to go down a level on my belt!! It's the little victories!!! TTYL, Chavon Thomas Hello,
I hope that you all are having a great day. I just wanted to post because I have not posted in almost a week. I went out of town to Florida. I ate well while I was away. It was hard at times, but I was able to resist urges. Since, I have been back, I have learned more from the Noom app. They did a lesson on not categorizing food as good or bad. It's all about caloric intake. Then, they encouraged the people to eat something sweet, so I went to Cheesecake Factory to get a slice of my favorite, Red Velvet cheesecake. However, I only ate half because I did not have enough calories to eat the entire piece. It was delicious. I have not eaten cheesecake in months because I saw it as a bad food. I am still loosing weight. I hope that you all are doing well. Continue on this weight-loss journey with me!!! Love You all very much!! Thank you for your support. TTYL Chavon Thomas Hello,
I hope you all had a great day. Outside of the challenges of the day, God is still faithful. I ate well today, but I did not eat enough. I had to eat more fruit to put more calories in my diet. I was talking to a friend from church, and she said meal prep is so important. After being on my second week of changing my lifestyle, it seems that this will be the wisest decision to ensure that I eat healthy and that I eat enough. I did not get a chance to workout today. I am going to do my crunches before I go to bed tonight. My noom app told me that I can reward myself because I have been doing so well the last week and some change. I am so excited. I am going to get a slice of cheesecake. I will have a pictures for you all tomorrow. I am excited that I am on my way to Orlando. I plan to remain healthy on my trip. I am going to continue to use my app and log my food. My exercise will be all the walking. I will be sure to do my crunches also. TTYL, Chavon Thomas Hello,
I had another great day today. I lost more weight when I got on the scale. I did not go workout today because I went to the Taco Festival with some friends from church, which required a lot of walking. We had so much fun. I ate three tacos: buffalo, grilled, and shrimp. They were all pretty good. The buffalo taco was my absolute favorite. It was so hot, but the experience hanging with the ladies made it a lot of fun. Before I go to bed, I am going to do my 100 crunches again. Today, was another good day. I continue to share with people that I am on my weight-loss journey, and I continue to get a lot of support! I found out that one of my friends is a vegetarian. That is inspiring, but it is not something that I want to fully engage in. She said that her workouts are so much better because she has more endurance being on the plant based diet. Finally, the Noom app talked about positive reinforces today. Also, it gave an analogy of the elephant vs. the rider. The elephant want what it wants and cant resist, but the rider is focused and disciplined. It encouraged me to not be impulsive in my eating choices. Thank you for your continued support. TTYL Chavon Thomas Hello,
I did not get to post last night because the Women's ministry at my church had a Game Night!! It was awesome!! I love the powerful women at my church. God is doing something beautiful in all of our hearts. We are choosing to walk in love, unity, and trust, and it means the world to me. It's nothing like feeling safe. I love those ladies!! My church family rocks!! #heyTCsis Also, I lost more weight, and I ate well. Even when I went to the game night, I knew there might be meatballs, so I planned for those in my calorie budget. Then, I ate salad and fruit. The salad bar was amazing!! I am so proud of myself for doing this. I did have to stop myself from eating potato salad and raisins because they would have taken me over my goal. Finally, the noom app challenged me to run for 20 mins without stopping while listening to 4-5 songs. It was soooooo hard. I was sweating like crazy, but I made it!! I listened to my husband's recent 4 track EP, and then I listened to "You Make me Brave." I ran a total of 1.4 miles!!! WHOA!!! I also did 100 crunches after my friend challenged me in Facebook messenger--------accountability is everything!! I will post later today too!! Be sure to comment!! Also, I put the link for my husband's EP, just click the button. TTYL Chavon Thomas Hello,
I hope you all are having a great day. I am posting before I leave for Bible Study tonight. Today has been a great day. I have not worked out yet today, but I have been walking around the house all day. My husband and I had company today. We made shirts for the business. Later, we cooked, and one of my friends helped me make Mac & Cheese. I made sure I had room for it with a light breakfast and lunch. The Mac & Cheese was pretty good. I made some baked chicken wings to go with it. I am going to workout when I get back from church tonight. I am going to do my HIT program on the treadmill. Also, I said in the post early this morning that I would do my 100 crunches, and I did them. I did them in increments of 25. It was not easy, but I made it through. It was truly awesome!! I will update you in the morning to confirm that I actually ran on the treadmill after Bible Study tonight!! TTYL, Chavon Thomas |
